Healthcare

The health and well being of the Decatur community is served by the Decatur Morgan Hospital’s multiple campuses, which include the Decatur Morgan Hospital’s Decatur Campus and Parkway Campus.

Decatur Morgan Hospital’s Decatur campus is a 273-bed not-for-profit hospital and the Parkway campus is currently licensed for 112 beds. Both hospitals provide emergency room services, cardiac care units, and have areas dedicated to women and children’s health. The Decatur Morgan Oncology Center provides the only comprehensive cancer care program in Morgan County.

In addition to the two major hospitals, there are private and public psychiatric hospitals, a district health department, counseling centers and a private outpatient clinic.

Decatur has more than 100 physicians, 42 dentists, 23 pharmacies, and five nursing homes to ensure that the best health care is available for our residents.

Our older residents benefit from a host of programs and services such as exercise classes, water aerobics, health screening and older-adult emergency response programs. Decatur also has numerous residential options available for retirees and seniors.
