The mission of the Decatur Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing an environment where people can live safely and without fear.
The men and women of the Decatur Police Department are committed to serving the citizens of Decatur by providing quality services to the community by utilizing both time-tested methods and innovative approaches to crime prevention and enforcement. We will continue to adhere to the highest ethical and moral professional standards and safeguard the constitutional rights of all people. The Police Department is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year and is located at 402 Lee St. N.E., on the first floor of City Hall.
